Agenda
In today’s classrooms, teaching extends well beyond curriculum and content—it’s about relationships, communication, and the ability to lead with clarity and care. One of the most vital (and often most challenging) relationships to navigate is between teachers and parents.
In this powerful session, Rob Amedee from TPAA, will have a conversation with long-time principal, teacher, and author Andrew Oberthur who will share practical, compassionate strategies to help educators foster stronger, more trusting partnerships with parents—while managing their own well-being and workload.
With 37+ years in education, Andrew brings deep experience from the frontline. He’ll unpack his Formula for Trust, explore the common pitfalls and breakthroughs in teacher-parent dynamics, and offer guidance on handling conflict, disengagement, and overreach—all with the goal of supporting your longevity and success in the profession.
Whether you’re a new grad or a school leader, this conversation will equip you with real-world tactics to strengthen collaboration, reduce stress, and build a culture where teachers, students, and families thrive together.
