Have you been left wondering what Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) is all about?

Schools are required to participate in NCCD and teachers have a vital role to play in this.

The TPAA is hosting a live webinar with an expert panel to provide information around what is involved with NCCD and what responsibilities teachers have in the process. Join TPAA national coordinator Scott Stanford and TPAA Case Support Robert Amedee as they discuss:

  • Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Disability Standards for Education 20025 and NCCD: what are they and how do they fit in the jigsaw of working with students with disabilities.
  • NCCD disability definition: A look at what constitutes a disability for NCCD purposes.
  • NCCD flowchart: How decisions and inclusions take place
  • NCCD’s Four Phases:  A look at the planning, implementation, validation, and reflection phases.
  • Teacher responsibilities: Planning and providing adjustments and submitting evidence over a ten week period.

Don't miss this opportunity to improve your understanding of what is legally required, as a teacher, with NCCD.

Robert Amedee

TPAA CASE SUPPORT

Robert (Rob) Amedee currently works as a Case Support Person for the TPAA.  He commenced this after forty years working in schools.  The vast majority of his time was spent in the Catholic and Independent sector, which took him from Brisbane to rural Queensland to Lihir Island in PNG and back.

During this time he spent eleven and a half years as a school principal (across rural and city schools), eleven as an assistant principal, one as curriculum support teacher and the remainder as a class teacher across the full gamut of the socio-economic regions.

Rob had a particular interest in a range of facets in school life: Mathematics where he was involved in a BCE system working party in the 1980s then with QCAA committee in the 2010s;  Industrial matters where he served on the QNT IEU council and worked as a Branch and Staff Representative;  Child Safety where he worked on a program development committee in the 1980s; Disadvantaged Schools Program in the 1990s; Whole school curriculum development in the 2000-2020s.

Rob is married with four children and two step-children (all adults) with one grandchild on the way!  During his spare time he plays social golf, enjoys board games, sings karaoke and plays guitar.  He was once the lead singer in a band when living in PNG.
