Have you ever questioned which is the most effective way to assist student learning?

Learning leaders in many schools heavily promote John Hattie’s Visible Learning as the modern-day gospel for teaching. Some schooling systems stick to methods like Montessori, Steiner or Waldorf.  In this Webinar, we look beyond Hattie to major educational theories and what their impact is.

The TPAA is hosting a live webinar with an expert panel to provide informative theories and approaches for dealing with student learning. This interactive session will allow teachers to ask questions and receive practical advice. Join TPAA national coordinator Scott Stanford and TPAA Case Support Robert Amedee as they discuss:

  • John Hattie reflections: the reflection on what he says makes an effective teacher
  • 9 Major Educational Theories: An historical journey through theories and relating them to contemporary terminology
  • Eclectic Approaches: Putting the best of each theory together
  • ACERs contemporary Research:  Roles of memory, processing, mastery and engagement
  • Key Approaches: Specific strategies for Primary and Secondary classrooms.
