TPAA CASE SUPPORT

Robert (Rob) Amedee currently works as a Case Support Person for the TPAA.  He commenced this after forty years working in schools.  The vast majority of his time was spent in the Catholic and Independent sector, which took him from Brisbane to rural Queensland to Lihir Island in PNG and back.

During this time he spent eleven and a half years as a school principal (across rural and city schools), eleven as an assistant principal, one as curriculum support teacher and the remainder as a class teacher across the full gamut of the socio-economic regions.

Rob had a particular interest in a range of facets in school life: Mathematics where he was involved in a BCE system working party in the 1980s then with QCAA committee in the 2010s; Industrial matters where he served on the QNT IEU council and worked as a Branch and Staff Representative;  Child Safety where he worked on a program development committee in the 1980s; Disadvantaged Schools Program in the 1990s; Whole school curriculum development in the 2000-2020s.

Rob is married with four children and two step-children (all adults) with one newborn grandchild and another on the way mid 2025!  During his spare time he plays social golf, enjoys board games, sings karaoke and plays guitar.  He was once the lead singer in a band when living in PNG.

TPAA NATIONAL COORDINATOR

Scott has been working in education for over 20 years. Throughout his career he has held various roles in a number of secondary settings in both the independent and catholic sectors ranging from Classroom Teacher to Faculty and Department Head, Head of Boarding House and Director of Sport.

Scott has completed a Masters of Educational Leadership and throughout his career has been part of external organisations such as the Australian Council for Educational Leaders, Australian Boarding Schools Association, Business Educators Association of QLD and has been an active member in many community organisations which saw him awarded the 2016 Australia Day award in recognition for the valued community service in the Electorate of Lilly.

Throughout his career Scott has always been a proactive advocate for Teacher and school staff conditions and rights, and has always been an active member of the staff association in the schools he has worked in – often being a mentor to the new staff when they come into the organisation.

Scott is very excited to be the National Co-ordinator of the Teachers Professional Association and looks forward to working with the state secretaries to continue to advocate for fairness and equality with a goal for providing the best possible education setting for all.
