Relocating for a job can be a mixed experience. For Angelina, a member of the TPAA (Teachers’ Professional Association of Australia) Queensland branch, her move came with unexpected challenges. Many of her belongings arrived damaged, and some didn't arrive at all. Despite her efforts to find a solution, she found herself stuck in a bureaucratic loop.

Turning to the TPAA for help, she was assigned a case manager who investigated her situation thoroughly. Reviewing her enterprise agreement, they uncovered a significant finding: the damaged and missing possessions weren't just a logistical issue but also raised health and safety concerns. Furthermore, they confirmed that the agreement would cover all reasonable costs for the relocation.
With this insight, Angelina was able to directly raise the matter with a business’ executive, with our case manager’s assistance.

Prompt action was taken, with the business agreeing to cover all reasonable costs and address the underlying issues. Thanks to the TPAA’s efforts, life can return to normal for Angelina!
